Capabilities and Services

DVTel’s Professional Engineering Services (PES) Group provides custom automation and operation and third party integration to DVTel’s intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) platform so that every DVTel solution has the ability to be tailored to meet the requirements of the customer.

Basic Interfaces with the iSOC™ Solution

DVTel offers a range of basic interfaces to third-party applications with its iSOC™ security solution.  These include generic keyboard emulation capabilities, serial port interfacing, support of the ASCII protocol, and a robust XML exchange module.   The benefits and detriments of each are detailed as follows:

• Keyboard Emulation Interface
• Serial Interface
• IP ASCII Interface
• XML API

In addition to DVTel’s standard interfaces for third-party applications, the iSOC™ solution enables true integration with applications spanning the security, building automation, and IT domains.  Such integrations are built atop the robust Applications Programming Interface (API) inherent in the iSOC™ platform.  This same interface is utilized by both ControlCenter and AdminCenter, providing third parties access to the same functionality as the standard DVTel application.

Advanced Interfaces with the iSOC™ Solution

DVTel offers a comprehensive API / SDK interface for integrations with third-party applications.  The iSOC™ platform enables you to customize the operational environment to maximize efficiency in setup and control.  The possibilities of this are limited only by your imagination, with examples including the administration of multiple platforms, unified operation of both iSOC™and third-party elements, and even the complete overhaul of the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The iSOC™ solution can be integrated with third-party applications to unify the support and administration of elements belonging to each sub-platform, reducing the time required to implement and maintain even the most complex installations.  DVTel offers a full line of standard integrations enabling such enhancements, as well as the ability to develop custom integrations for specific customer sites.  A list of benefits derived is as follows:

• Automated installation of third-party components within the iSOC™ platform, including alarms and edge devices
• Unified health status information, including: input pin status, edge device status, and server status spanning both sub-platforms
• All integration modules run as a plug-in within the iSOC™ solution, benefiting from the resiliency capabilities of the platform and resulting in enhanced system uptime
• A full range of SDK Training Courses and Development Support Services are available to ensure a successful integration effort
