Yaron Eitan, Chairman of the Board

Mr. Eitan is a partner at SCP Private Equity Partners (”SCP”), a private equity firm that invests in mid and later stage companies in high growth industries, with an emphasis on technology. Yaron recently joined SCP with over twenty years experience in building a number of high tech companies. He is also co-founder, president, and CEO of Selway Partners, LLC, a technology incubator that Yaron founded in 1998 and an SCP portfolio company. Selway originally had build five different technology ventures, three of which are now part of the SCP portfolio. Yaron is chairman of a number of companies including DVTel, Inc., ClearStory Systems, Software Technologies Inc, The Q Group, and Magnolia Broadband . He also serves as a director of Xvionics Inc. From 1989 until 1998 Yaron was founder, chairman and CEO of Geotek Communications Inc, Chairman of the Board of Bogen Communications, Inc., and co-founder of Reshef Technologies Ltd., which he founded in 1984. Yaron holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and a degree in Economics from Haifa University.


Eli Gorovici, President and CEO

Mr. Gorovici has over fifteen years of senior management experience in the digital data communications industry, with extensive experience in management, sales, engineering, customer support, business development, and product management. Starting in 2002, Eli successfully repositioned DVTel’s industry focus and in three short years the company has grown over 300% each year in sales.
Previously, Mr. Gorovici was vice president, global sales and marketing, for NICE’s Visual Interaction Management Division. At NICE, he was responsible for overall operations as well as the introduction of the NiceVision™ platform of digital recording solutions to North America and key global markets. His management of the introduction exceeded sales targets and established the company as one of the top players in the newly emerging digital video recording market.


Thomas G. Rebar

Tom is a partner of SCP and has been with the firm since its inception. He has over 18 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buyout financing. Tom is a director of several companies, including Magnolia Broadband, Vis.align, LLC, and Pentech Financial Services, Inc. Prior to joining SCP, Tom was a Senior Vice President at Charterhouse Inc., the U.S. investment banking arm of Charterhouse PLC, a leading U.K. merchant bank. At Charterhouse, he was responsible for a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions including representing companies in the purchase and sale of businesses, rendering fairness opinions and business valuations, assisting companies in raising debt capital, and the placement of private equity. Before joining Charterhouse, Tom was a member of the corporate finance department at Bankers Trust Company. Tom received his B.S. summa cum laude from the University of Scranton and his M.B.A. from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.

Tuvia Barak

Mr. Barak is a member of the Board of Directors of Skyline, Atair and Fairchild Imaging and a senior advisor to Lux Capital. In 1982, Mr. Barak joined Tadiran, Inc., the North American subsidiary of Tadiran, the largest electronics conglomerate in Israel. During his 12-year tenure, over $3 billion in revenue was achieved under his direction, and Tadiran became one of the major suppliers of tactical communications to the U.S. Army.
Mr. Barak developed strategic alliances and partnerships with some of the largest aerospace companies. In 1993, Mr. Barak established his own marketing and consulting practice, advising U.S. and international companies on business development, marketing strategies, technology assessment, and mergers and acquisitions in the aerospace and technology fields. His clients have included The Carlyle Group, L3C, Marconi, AAI, BAE, EDS, DRS, Elbit, Clal, Ness Technologies, Safenet, Israel Aircraft Industries, Herley, United Defense, Mantech, Apptis, MapInfo, Rockwell Collins and Raytheon.Mr. Barak has a M.Sc. in E.E. from the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.

Philip Cushmaro

Philip Cushmaro is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston and CIO of Information Technology, based in New York. He is a member of CSFB’s Management Council.Mr. Cushmaro joined the Firm in 1994 as Head of U.S. Equity Technology, and in 1997 he was named the Global Head of Equity Technology. He was nominated as Global Head of Securities IT in December 2001. In 2002, he assumed the role of Co-CIO with responsibility for Global Application Development.Prior to joining CSFB, Mr. Cushmaro was with Lehman Brothers from 1990 to 1994 where he was Vice President in the equity technology group. Prior to this, he was with Shearson Corp, Concurrent Computer Corp, SONY America and Aqua Products. Mr. Cushmaro is very active in the technology industry and is currently on the Research board.Mr. Cushmaro received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickenson University.

Leonard M. Lodish

Leonard M. Lodish is the Samuel R. Harrell Professor in the Marketing Department of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he has been since 1968. He received a Ph.D. (Marketing and Operations Research) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management in 1968 and an A.B. (Mathematics) from Kenyon College in 1965. He has been at Wharton since 1968 where he was department chair from 1984-1988 and 1991-1992. He has also been a visiting Professor at the Harvard Business School. He is also Vice Dean for Wharton West, Wharton’s San Francisco campus since 2001.Professor Lodish has developed models and decision support systems that have been syndicated to worldwide use. They include MEDIAC® for media planning, CALLPLAN for sales force deployment, and PROMOTER® and PROMOTIONSCAN® for promotional planning and evaluation.In 1996 Len and his wife Susan pedalled their tandem bicycle across teh US and since have done long distance bicycle rides each year which have raised over $500,000 for the A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Association. Len is a licensed sailplane pilot and ardent bicycle commuter.Back to Top
